Each one-hour PD session focuses on a specific area of number sense instruction, allowing teams to go deeper into targeted instructional strategies and routines. Sessions may be delivered individually or bundled as a series to support sustained learning and implementation.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of each facet-specific session, participants will be able to:

Describe how the targeted area of number sense develops and how it typically appears in student thinking across grades.
Identify common patterns and misconceptions related to the focus area using examples from the USNS.
Apply instructional strategies and routines that strengthen conceptual understanding within the focus area.
Select and use representations, models, and prompts that support student reasoning and discussion.
Plan next instructional steps aligned to students’ demonstrated needs within the targeted area of number sense.

Duration

Virtual delivery of the live session is 1 hour per learning facet (Numerals, Words, and Sequences; Addition and Subtraction within 20; Place Value; Multiplication and Division; Fractions; and Problem-Solving and Mathematical Reasoning) and includes a 30-minute planning meeting*.

In-person training options can be crafted around your needs and durations vary. Contact us to discuss further.

Who

This training is intended for instructional leadership, coaches, principals, and teachers that will be utilizing results from the USNS assessments. We cap participation for virtual sessions at 100 participants. Contact us if you would like to schedule multiple sessions for a larger group.

Pricing & Next Steps

Virtual delivery is priced at $600 per session.

One-day, on-site trainings are priced at $4,500 per facilitator and include up to six hours of professional learning, customized to your district’s goals and context. Contact us to discuss further.
