FRS Next Steps for Instruction – Computation with Fractions

Join us on Tuesday, January 27, 2025, at 6 pm MT for this third session in our three-part series on FRS Next Steps. These classroom activities and routines align directly with the Fractional Reasoning Screeners and help teachers respond to assessment results with targeted instruction.

In this one-hour session, Forefront Education and Graham Fletcher, math specialist and creator of 3-Act Tasks, will demonstrate how contextualized, problem-based lessons can deepen students’ computational understanding of fractions. Whether you are new to 3-Act Tasks or already familiar with them, you’ll learn how to use these resources to spark curiosity, surface student thinking, and promote flexible, conceptual reasoning.
