Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Explain the purpose and design of the Fractional Reasoning Screeners
• Administer the assessments consistently and effectively
• Apply the scoring guidelines to evaluate student thinking
• Use Forefront to collect and organize student evidence

Duration

Virtual delivery of the live session is 1.5 hours and includes a 30-minute planning meeting*.

In-person training options can be crafted around your needs, and durations vary.

Who

This session is intended for teachers, instructional coaches, and school/district leaders. We cap participation for virtual sessions at 100 participants. Contact us if you would like to schedule multiple sessions for a larger group.

Suggested Timing

Option 1: Before administration of the assessments. Teachers will learn everything they need to know in advance of administering the assessments.

Option 2: After the administration of the first formative assessment. In this option, teachers are given a brief overview of how to use the script to administer the assessment. Teachers then bring the completed assessments to the training to score collaboratively, enter data, and learn how to utilize the results for instruction.

Note: Forefront provides a collaborative scoring template that teams may use independently or alongside this professional learning session.

Virtual delivery is priced at $900 per session.

One-day, on-site trainings are priced at $4,500 per facilitator and include up to six hours of professional learning, customized to your district’s goals and context. Contact us to discuss further.
